The Rod Room Specializes in a host of professional reel services including cleaning, repairing, tuning, and upgrades.  Why waist your precious time and money fooling around with repairing tackle(unless you are a DIY guy that enjoys this kind of thing) when we can happily do it for you. Many people make large investments in high end fishing gear only to find that a year later your reel handle is as smooth as porcupines fur, the drag washers are worn out(usually due to not cleaning or improper cleaning technique) , the eyes and tips of the rods often get cracked, which leads to chaffed fishing line that needs to be respooled and so on. As the editor of this site and former professional offshore fisherman, I cannot count the number of times I’ve witnessed Trophy fish lost due to Tackle Failure and it is heartbreaking.  We have spent endless hours teaching our clients the do’s and don’t’s that come along with fishing.
